The shapes step out from one another, each one a separate flat form. The drawing follows the same thinking as Calder kinetic sculpture, where flat parts hold a steady position in space.

This fine art print keeps the flat colour and the open gaps between the painted metal forms. A light frame on a dark wall lets the pale shapes stand out, while a dark frame on a pale wall pulls the edges closer.

From the foot of the stairs you see the whole arrangement as one quiet group of forms. On the landing wall, the separate pieces read as individual shapes. The painted metal look stays clear even when you pass by.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0791/0162/4571/files/fee41dee-61b9-405e-a7f5-81475eeee62c.jpg?v=1792614424
