The tones shift slowly from one band to the next. The work belongs to the colouristic abstraction practice of the artist. You see the steady order of the painted surface first. The bands hold their own tones without blending into each other.

The fine art print uses a matte sheet so the lighter tones stay flat under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the pale bands stand apart. A dark frame on a pale wall keeps the ground quiet. Choose the finish that follows your own room.

It hangs on a stairwell wall where the light comes from above. From the landing you notice the slow shifts in tone as you pass. Up close the painted edges show small changes in the surface.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0791/0162/4571/files/942133f1-6a7a-46eb-bf49-9c69bc3324e5.jpg?v=1792601689
