The surface uses broad colour areas and soft edges, the kind of work Claes Oldenburg made when he painted everyday food and objects with a slow, heavy touch.

This fine art print comes in a frame with a back panel, so you have a ready made piece on the wall. The matte finish keeps the painted colours even and holds the light without a shine that would flatten the soft colour shifts.

On a kitchen wall above the sink you notice the painted cake shape first, then the gentle colour changes as you move past the basin. From the doorway the large flat shape reads clearly against the tile.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0791/0162/4571/files/d4cbcfec-1404-45ab-9908-447878542f75.jpg?v=1792593202
