The artist built this image with thick paint and careful lines, the look of Jasper Johns work from the post war years. The colours stay muted and the forms read as simple marks rather than a full scene.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel keeps the paint surface soft and the edges clean. The matte paper stops shine under a lamp, so the grey tones stay even across the sheet.

On a hallway wall near the front door the two figures sit low on the picture plane. From the step into the hall you notice the thick paint lines first, then the quiet ground behind them.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0791/0162/4571/files/fb96d8eb-9e24-45ab-98b9-64e9d07b0abc.jpg?v=1792221162
