The outer edge carries hand drawn lines and small burn marks. The image reads as a study shape built from cut and assembled ideas. Lee Bontecou often worked from relief and assemblage methods in her wider practice.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame finish can follow the room. A light frame on a dark wall lets the grey ground stay soft. A wood frame beside wooden furniture keeps the darker marks from feeling heavy.

In a bedroom, the darker shape settles above the bed against a pale wall. From the doorway you notice the hand drawn outline first, then the small marks near the centre as you pass by.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0791/0162/4571/files/fdfea588-6b08-4d12-be3f-f9cc17ab0cb3.jpg?v=1792615962
