About this work
Espejo Sonámbulo (1989)
A sleepwalker's face emerges from a fractured mirror in *Espejo Sonámbulo*. This artwork by Manuel Rivera is a haunting exploration of identity and the subconscious, rendered in a dreamlike palette that blurs the line between reality and illusion.
The composition is dominated by a central figure, its features obscured and distorted by the cracks in the mirror. The background is a muted, almost monochromatic blue, which serves to highlight the stark white of the sleepwalker's face. The cracks in the mirror are filled with a darker shade, creating a web-like pattern that adds depth and texture to the piece.
This poster would be at home in a bedroom or study, where its introspective mood can be fully appreciated.
