About this work
New House by Lygia Pape (2000)
A house with a triangle roof sits in a field of white. This is New House, a serene and contemplative work by Lygia Pape. The simplicity of the composition draws the viewer in, inviting a closer look at the delicate balance of shapes and spaces.
The house, rendered in a soft blue, stands alone against the stark white background. Its triangular roof, a deep cobalt, contrasts with the lighter hues of the structure. The absence of additional elements or textures focuses attention on the interplay between the geometric forms and the negative space surrounding them.
This poster brings a quiet, meditative presence to a study or bedroom.
