A blade of white light slices through deep cobalt. Paul Jenkins called it Phenomena Solstice Encounter.
The canvas holds a single, deliberate stroke—opaque at the spine, bleeding into translucent edges where ochre and slate blue pool. No brushwork is visible, only the aftermath of pigment pulled across wet ground. The white core remains untouched, a quiet axis.
Hang it above a low credenza where lamplight can catch the raised texture of the stroke at dusk.
