Taxi Cab II — Fine Art

Taxi Cab II by Al Held uses hard edge blocks of colour in a shallow space. The picture sets a few large shapes against a brighter field. The edges are sharp and the colours do not blend.

Al Held worked with clear shapes and flat colour in his practice. This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when you choose ready to hang.

The matte surface keeps the colours even under a lamp. You can see the sharp edges from across the room. Put it on a plain wall near a window. The bright field stays clear at that height and the blocks read as solid shapes.
