Vibration couleur - 1965 shows bands of colour laid over a flat ground. The strokes sit side by side and shift between warm and cool tones. Antonio Asis worked with this kind of colour field painting during the mid twentieth century. The surface holds the paint in a steady rhythm across the sheet.
