Signs

Ben Shahn often works with social themes and clear outlines painted in tempera or gouache on hard boards. Signs carries that same plain style, with text and figures set against a simple background. The shapes stay flat and readable.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. This print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a frame.

It fits a study wall near a desk. From the doorway you see the lettering first, then the small figures beside it. The room stays busy without looking loud.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
