Rhythm — Fine Art

Rhythm - 1956 sets a few bands of colour across a plain sheet. The tones sit close together and shift gently from one side to the other. Soft marks run across the surface and keep the eye moving along the sheet. Bice Lazzari worked with this kind of calm arrangement in her later paintings.

The fine art print is made on matte paper, so the colours stay flat and there is no shine under a lamp. The light frame keeps the tones open on a dark wall, while a wood frame sits well beside wooden furniture.

It works on a study room wall near a desk lamp. From the desk you see the broad colour bands, and from the door the softer tones hold together as one quiet field. The print stays settled there without pulling focus from the room.
