Mar 08 No 7 2008

A thin horizontal line runs across the paper in Mar 08 No 7 2008. The line is made with a steady brush, and the ink sits on the surface without much pressure. You can trace the direction of the hand from one end to the other. The brushwork of Chu teh Chun shows in that single stroke.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the line soft so nothing shines under a lamp.

On a bedroom wall near a desk, you notice the line first from the doorway. Up close, the slight variation in the ink becomes clear.
