Chateau Vesuv

Chateau Vesuv - 1967 by Dieter Roth shows a small castle outline against a plain ground. The shapes stay loose and the paint reads as hand laid rather than smooth.

You can read the buildings from the far end of the room and see the uneven strokes closer up. This fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel and arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used.

The matte paper keeps the grey and blue tones quiet under a ceiling light. It fits a narrow hall wall beside a coat stand. From the stairs you notice the soft ground and the plain front door.
