Capriglia

The painted earth shapes in Capriglia - 2005 sit on a quiet field of warm tones. Doug Ohlson often placed broad colour bands and soft layers in his paintings. The piece keeps that steady, measured look.

Wood frames come in this fine art print. The wood edge runs along the painted shapes without pulling focus from the earth tones.

It works on a dining room wall. From the table you notice the soft colour shifts, while the frame keeps the edge clean.
