China Series A — Fine Art

China Series A, Flamingo - 1975 by Doug Ohlson opens on a single bird shape set inside broad colour bands. The bird holds a warm pink tone against cooler ground tones. Doug Ohlson worked with colour planes and simple shapes during this period.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paper is matte, so the pink holds soft and the edges stay calm under a lamp. The frame finish can follow the room, with a wood frame near wooden furniture or a dark frame on a pale wall.

It suits a hallway landing where the light comes from above. From there the pink shape reads at a distance, and the band edges sit evenly across the sheet. The bird form stays readable without crowding the space.
