The Bay of Cavalieri — Fine Art

The Bay of Cavalieri opens on a stretch of water meeting a distant shore. Wide colour strokes sit across the surface, with the eye settling in the middle band of blue and green. Henri-Edmond Cross built the scene from separate painted patches rather than blended wash.

The product is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the soft colour patches from shining under a lamp, and the frame gives the print a firm edge on the wall. When ready to hang is chosen, the print arrives assembled.

It fits a narrow corridor wall beside a small mirror. From the hall doorway you see the broad colour strokes first, then the small separate touches when you pass by.
