Contentment Island — Fine Art

Contentment Island - 2004 shows a wide field of thin paint spread across the sheet. The colour stays open at the edges and gathers a little darker toward the centre. A few pale strokes cross the middle without filling the space.

This fine art print sits on a matte sheet that keeps the painted washes flat and soft. A light frame on a dark wall gives the colour room to breathe, and a dark frame on a pale wall holds the centre marks in place.

On a hallway wall near the stairs, the broad paint field reads first at the landing. From the kitchen doorway you see the open edges and the small darker marks in the middle.
