Green Frost

Green Frost 1957 shows a field of cool green tones with soft painted strokes. The marks feel loose and layered, built up over the sheet. The title points to a cold, quiet surface. Norman Bluhm worked in the post war American art Informel style, where paint moves quickly across the ground.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

On the narrow wall in a study, the broad green field reads as a single calm shape from across the desk. Standing by the bookshelf, the small shifts between the strokes become visible. The room feels steady without any extra details.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
