Indian Summer — Fine Art

Indian Summer by Hans Hofmann shows a field of warm colour with quick marks that seem to move across the paper. A dark band sits low, and thin strokes cross it. The surface feels built in layers, like a late season light that does not sit still.

The print uses a fine art frame that gives the image a clean edge on the wall. You can choose white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the warm tones open, while a dark wood frame sets a heavier line against the bright marks.

It works on a kitchen wall above the sink, where morning light hits the surface at an angle. From there you notice the thin lines most, and the lower band reads as a long shadow across the counter.
