About this work

Still Life of Candlestick 1978

A single candlestick stands against a soft ground with small dots around it. Still Life of Candlestick 1978 shows one object held by repeated marks. Yayoi Kusama uses dots to build the space around the form. The shapes move slowly across the sheet and the eye follows them without stopping.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame.

In a kitchen nook above the stove, the candlestick reads as a clear shape first and the dots fill in behind it. From the table you see the marks, and the single object stays steady in the middle of the wall.

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
