The Canoe 1912

The Canoe 1912 shows a narrow canoe on a calm waterway with a shoreline of trees. The water reads as a flat band of green and blue. The trees rise on the near bank with simple pale trunks.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The brushwork uses quick loaded strokes for the foliage. The sky stays pale and open. You can see the direction of each stroke, and the paint sits on the surface in thin layers that leave a light grain.
