The Station of the Cross — Fine Art

The Station of the Cross - Second Station shows a single dark vertical band set into a broad colour field, a mark that repeats through Barnett Newman work. The band runs from top to bottom and divides the open space on either side.

This version is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel, ready to hang once assembled. The frame holds a plain field without crowding the mark, and the back panel keeps the print flat against the wall.

Place it above a console in a hall where afternoon light falls across the surface at a low angle. From the doorway you notice the dark band first, and as you step closer the plain field around it becomes quieter. The space stays open and the mark stays legible.
