Untitled monotype with woodcut

Untitled monotype with woodcut shows a press impression beside carved wood grain marks. The two methods leave different textures on the same sheet. Sam Francis worked across printing techniques as part of his wider practice. Each mark keeps its own shape without blending into the next one.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The sheet comes ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

It sits in a hallway where the morning sun hits the paper at a slant. From the stair landing you notice the deep groove of the woodcut line against the flat press area. The metal hanger holds the sheet steady without a frame.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
