Organization of Graphic Motifs II shows a set of abstract marks arranged in a rhythmic pattern. The shapes sit on a plain field and move across the picture in a steady row. Frantisek Kupka built this kind of work from repeated forms and simple colour shifts.

The fine art print sits on a matte sheet that holds the soft tones without shine. A light frame on a dark wall lets the repeated shapes read clearly. A dark frame on a pale wall gives the marks a stronger hold.

It hangs on the wall beside a tall bookcase in a study, seen from the desk chair. The row of marks lines up with the shelf edges. From the doorway the shapes stay quiet. From the chair the small shifts between them come through.
