Architecture Moscow — Fine Art

Architecture Moscow - photo shows a city view built from broad painted bands and sharp edges. The picture reads like a photo turned into paint, with flat areas of grey and white laid over one another. Gunther Forg worked in this way, taking a real scene and flattening it into a measured surface.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper holds the flat colours without a shine, so the painted bands stay even under indoor light. When the ready to hang option is used, the frame arrives assembled and ready to put on a wall.

In a study, the print sits above a wooden desk. From the chair you see the long horizontal bands first, and the small shifts between the grey tones show when you lean in.
