Untitled — Fine Art

Untitled - 1987 United States by Gunther Forg uses broad painted bands of grey and green against a pale ground. The colours sit flat next to each other without blending. You notice the steady paint across the sheet.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The picture keeps a quiet mood from the balanced tone. Gunther Forg worked in this way with large colour fields and simple shapes. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall.

The frame finish reads as plain against the softer greens. A narrow shelf in a bedroom holds this print. From the bed you see the grey bands across the top. Near the lamp the pale ground stays even and the green bands hold their shape.
