Untitled farbfeld — Fine Art

Untitled farbfeld - 1986 uses broad painted bands in contrasting tones laid across a flat field. Gunther Forg worked with thick paint and simple colour planes, building the image from layered strokes rather than drawn lines.

A metal hanger is fitted to the back of this fine art print, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw. Nothing else needs to be bought or fixed before it goes up. The hanger keeps the sheet level and flat against the wall.

In a hallway near the front door, the painted bands read from a few paces away and the paint layers become clearer as you move closer. The cooler tone on the left side settles the space before the warmer tone on the right side draws the eye forward.
