Deep Within the Ravine — Fine Art

Deep Within the Ravine places a narrow drop into deep green and blue tones against a lighter ground. Hans Hofmann works with painted blocks that push and pull across the picture. The colour sits heavy on one side and opens up on the other. You can see the hand of the painter in each edge.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. The flat surface keeps the painted colour even, so the dark greens stay steady against the light area.

In a narrow hallway the picture catches the strip of light from the door. From the landing you read the deep greens first, then the cooler blue across the middle.
