A jagged form lunges across the canvas. This is *The Prey*, Hofmann’s raw abstraction of pursuit and tension.
Slabs of scarlet and charcoal lock together, their edges frayed like torn paper. A slash of cobalt cuts through the center, while ochre and lime bleed into one another, suggesting motion rather than stillness. The surface feels scraped, layered, then scraped again—no single stroke settles.
