Metaesquema 169 - Neo-Concretism turns flat colour planes into a small field of offset rectangles. A red patch sits near the left edge, a darker one near the right. The borders do not line up, which gives the sheet a loose rhythm. Brush pressure is visible where the paint thins at the edges of each plane.

The object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. You can hang it ready to go, with the frame already holding the paper flat and the back panel closing the back.

It fits on a kitchen wall above the counter. From the doorway you get the offset rectangles in one glance, and while you stand there the small paint thinning at the edges becomes clear. The red field stays put while dishes move behind it.
