Volcanic Rocks B

Volcanic Rocks B - 1970 shows a dark ground with small marks placed by hand. The sheet keeps a quiet mood over the whole surface. Hiroyuki Tajima uses a limited range of paint to build the field and to hold the marks in one plane.

The fine art print comes set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The matte finish keeps the paint tones soft so the marks do not shine under a lamp.

The work works well above a dining table. From the chair you see the dark ground and the small hand marks. You notice the flat painted surface and the plain tone over the whole sheet.
