Untitled 1 — Fine Art

Man Ray worked in straight photography and in photograms. His practice often turns everyday objects into strange forms. The title Untitled 1 fits that habit, a work that leaves the subject open. You look at the marks first, then you decide what the image is holding.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The frame is white. That edge keeps the picture clear on the wall and gives the image a firm line. A light frame works well with the soft tones in this print.

In a hallway with one lamp, the white border reads as a clean line at the end of a long walk. You notice the flat tone of the surface before any detail.
