Halbzeit

Halbzeit - 2002 shows a field of stacked colour bands and small drawn marks. The picture pulls from the work of Michel Majerus, who built paintings from layered colour and simple signs. The bands sit side by side without blending.

This is a fine art print set in a frame, with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the colour layers flat and even, so the marks do not glare under a lamp.

It fits on a bedroom wall near the bed. From the narrow side of the room you see the colour bands, and the small marks stay clear at arm length.
