Triangle — Fine Art

Triangle - 1987 by Nancy Graves shows three flat shapes in a row, painted in a soft grey band against a warm beige ground. The middle form is a bit darker than the outer two, so the row reads as one slow change from edge to edge.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The paint sits in a thin even layer, with no heavy build up. The colours stay low and close to one another, so nothing jumps forward.

The hanger on the back slips onto a nail or screw, so the print goes up on the wall without a frame. On the landing wall beside the stairs, the three shapes line up with the rail, and from the bottom step you see the band of grey clearly.
