Brush Action - 1977 shows quick strokes laid down by hand on a surface. Dieter Roth worked with paint and paper in a direct way, letting the hand move fast across the sheet. The marks stay close together and the colours sit in layers instead of blending into one flat wash.

This fine art print keeps the uneven paint lines without smoothing them out. A white frame gives the picture a clean edge that does not compete with the busy strokes. The matte paper holds the darker tones without a glossy shine under room light.

A narrow hallway wall lets the strokes run along the walkway. From the far end you see the grouped marks first, and as you pass the door the small colour shifts show up one by one.
