Color Shapes — Fine Art

Color Shapes - 1975 puts a few broad painted shapes against a plain ground. The eye goes to the middle where the colour sits, and the edges stay open. Robert Goodnough worked in this way, laying paint and letting some areas stay empty.

This fine art print uses a white frame that gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. The white finish keeps the painted shapes clear and does not pull the eye away from the colour.

It fits on a dining room wall near the table. From the doorway you see the shapes first, and from the chair you notice the even painted surface.
