Hydra Group X

Hydra Group X - 1981 shows a pale ground with drawn lines and small colour marks laid out across the sheet. Brice Marden built this image with graphite and wax based pigment, the same practice he used for his flat colour and line drawings.

The marks stay close to the paper and the edges between them stay clean. A white or black frame gives the image a straight edge on the wall and the line work stays clear against a plain finish.

The wood frame keeps the soft pencil tones from looking too sharp. Hang this fine art print on a hallway wall where the light comes in from a side door. From that corner you read the faint grey strokes first and the small colour notes later.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery.
