Threads of Scarlet — Fine Art

Scarlet threads and pomegranate pieces stretch across the picture in Mary Pratt Threads of Scarlet, Pieces of Pomegranate - 2005. The red runs in thin lines that cross over darker fruit shapes. The paint sits in a loose way, with small breaks where the brush lifts off.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the red tones flat and the fruit shapes stay clear without shine. You can hang it ready to hang when the option is used.

In a kitchen, the red lines catch the morning light on a tiled wall. From the doorway you see the thin threads first, then the pomegranate pieces near the sink.
