About this work
Untitled - 1973 shows a row of identical rectangular forms standing alone across the sheet. Each block is painted in a single flat tone with hard edges, a method Donald Judd used again and again. The image stays quiet, with no brush marks and no variation inside each shape.
This is a fine art print set in a frame, with a back panel. The flat paint tones read cleanly on the matte paper, and the simple geometry stays even when light shifts. You get the look of the practice without the original material.
It fits a hallway wall where traffic passes twice a day. From the landing you see the regular spacing of the blocks. Up close the edges hold a clean line.
