Wanderland Express — Fine Art

Wanderland Express - 1976 opens on a wide painted field where fluid colour washes move in loose bands. The eye enters along the middle band and rests where the tone shifts darker. Empty ground on the edges keeps the marks from crowding.

Paul Jenkins worked with poured and tilted paint to build these soft colour bands. The fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. A flat back panel keeps the print flat against the wall.

You will see the soft edges of the colour bands best under even light. It fits a hallway wall beside a bench. From the stair landing you notice the long bands first, then the pale ground near the floor.
