About this work

Condition

Condition - 2002 sits in the late work of Peter Halley, where painted cells and walls stand for space and control. The shapes are built from flat colour with hard edges, built up in layers.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The frame runs white, wood, dark wood or black, and the clean edge keeps the picture sharp against the wall.

In a reading corner you notice the grid of shapes first, then the exact line where each colour stops.
