Untitled - 1988 shows a few soft bands of colour laid across a plain field. The marks sit quietly and do not try to form a clear figure. This fine art piece keeps the colour close together so the eye rests on the surface.

A light frame on a darker wall lets the pale colour stay forward. The matte surface holds the tone without a shine under a lamp. You notice the edges first and then the soft change between the bands.

In a narrow hallway, the work sits above a low shelf where the daily light moves across it slowly. The bands look steady from the door and then shift a little as you pass.
