About this work
Clocher du Village - 1958 shows a village church tower set against a quiet field. S. H. Raza often built his paintings around a clear centre line and a few strong shapes. Here the tower stands upright while the ground spreads out around it. The colours stay within a narrow range.
This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame. The mark on the back holds the sheet flat against the wall.
It works well on a kitchen wall over the kettle. From the table you see the tower shape plainly, and the small differences in tone stay easy to read while you wait for water to boil.
