Untitled SFP94-133 SFF 1803 shows broad colour washes spread across an open field. The paint sits in wide areas with soft edges. Sam Francis worked with this kind of colour field painting practice through the post war abstract painting years.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the edge clear against the open washes. The dark wood frame sits closer to the darker tones in the paint.

The picture works on a study wall near a desk lamp. From the doorway the big colour areas read first. Up close the small marks show the paint handling.
