Untitled - 1984 opens with a broad painted field held across the sheet. Thin traces of colour move through the center and leave much of the sheet empty. Helen Frankenthaler worked with thin washes that settle into the surface.

The fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. That fixed backing keeps the painted field flat against the wall and keeps the washed colour from shifting under a lamp.

In a study, the painting hangs above a desk near a reading lamp. You notice the open field first, then the small painted trails as you sit down to work. The sheet stays level and the colours hold a steady tone through the afternoon.
