Dodge Ranch

Dodge Ranch - Tonalism shows muted greens and browns laid over a quiet field. The tones sit near each other and keep the scene soft. Xavier Martinez worked in this tonalist style, building form from layered colour instead of hard edges.

The paper holds the greys without a bright shine. A light frame on a dark wall lets the pale patches read clearly. Hang it on a hallway side wall at shoulder height where the overhead light falls even.

From the landing you notice the slow colour changes first. The marks stay still and the room feels settled. fine art on the wall brings a calm tone to the hall.
