Des arbres enneigés s'élancent vers un ciel voilé. « Forêt en hiver » est une étude de la sérénité. Un voile de blanc hivernal adoucit le sol de la forêt, tandis que des ombres cobalt tracent le chemin de la lumière à travers les bois. La scène se déroule sous un ciel subtil et couvert, la composition étant presque monochrome, à l'exception des bruns profonds des arbres. Un moment de quiétude capturé au cœur de l'hiver.
