L'huile diluée s'infiltre dans le lin non apprêté, laissant des halos de cadmium et de terre d'ombre naturelle. La tache s'étend comme une aquarelle, et pourtant les bords conservent le poids du pigment. Une unique traînée de cobalt coupe le centre, aussi nette qu'une ligne d'horizon dont on se souvient mais qu'on n'a jamais vue.
