Un bouquet de bouleaux élancés remplit le cadre dans Fourré. Cette vue rapprochée d'une forêt russe est typique des scènes boisées intimes de Chichkine. Les troncs minces sont solidement enracinés, entourés de feuilles mortes et de sous-bois vaporeux.
